Hello All,
I have a question I'm hoping someone kows an answer. The vehicle is actually a 2004 f150 4x4 with a transponder key for the ignition. The cylinder needs replacement due to a locking up tendency. Purchased a cylinder for the correct year but, it is different and was intended to be removed by pushing in on the release pin while switch is in run position. After a trip back to the parts store, and looking at a 2005 cylinder it appears the same.Ok, the hole in the lower column shroud lines up with nothing. No release pin is visible. Does anyone have experience with this model? Does it require a different method for removal?
Thank you,
