Alright well the last two weeks i have been swaping a 69 302 in my other ranger. So far Ive got all msd ignition, edelbrock intake and performance carb with chrome all over and what not. For a tranny I used a 70s 4 speed and t case modified to dual stick, both gear to gear and freaking heavy. I got the rear driveshaft ready except for a bastard u joint that Im waiting on. But my front driveshaft is going to hit the cross member. Im not sure what to do there along with the motor mounts. I made solid ones but Im not sure if thats a very good idea. All my tranny and t case mounts are new oem ones that I fabbed to work with the new cross member. I should just start a build thread with all these questions lol. Anyways I was also wondering about my front lift with all this extra weight, I use to have a 4cyl 4x4. I am using the other ranger as a mock up so when I do the swap it will go as easy as possible. I have a rough country 4 inch under it now and Im afraid all the weight will put me back down to like stock. Im not sure what to do there either. I think Im doing a decent job so far for only being 18 and doing it all myself, no cutting corners. I just finished building my ranger and now it doesnt have enough power was going with a 2.3 turbo but that would have been to easy. Any help would be awesome, thanks guys. pictures will come soon!

:D Well you could have saved about $400 by using a Duraspark ignition over the (useless) MSD.:D

Alright? Too bad I got mostly everything for free and its all new. I have hook ups all over fl. Eventually I will make everything better but now I need opinions on my questions stated above. Ive spent 100 on the motor tranny free t case 100, msd wires, distributor, and box free, hedman heders free, chrome acesseries 20 bucks, intake 15, carb was free well I took it off my race motor lol. I have been saving parts for this for a while and now its all coming together. Please help!

Almost free is another story, but I wouldn't buy one of their setups and pay full price. They don;t work any better than a Duraspark or a hot coiled Pertronix setup

does anyone know my questions? I need to know tomorrow what trucks the 205 cast iron t cases came out of so I can get a u joint and get the mock truck driving. Also solid motor mounts a good or bad idea? And I have hedman headers that I cut the frame to fit for now, when I swap the motor I dont want to cut the frame, what other headers can I use to achieve this. Lastly, about suspension, since im adding a good like 300-350 pounds more what will I have to do to achieve the same ride hight. I have a 4 inch suspension with a 4cyl 4x4. Thanks

Thanks man that helped. Got it running then the fuel pump died. Have to make a new tranny cross member this week so I can clear the front shaft. I'm just going to make it out of square tubing like the rock crawlers do
