since i got my 95 xj i have been kickin around the idea of a 302. i have a 93' gt,aod, and a 205 just setting in the corner from a ranger that i had a while ago. so i have almost everything to do the job. but i cant seem to find anyone that has done the swap before that could give some pointers, or ideas.so i am wonderin if anyone here has done it,or could help push me down the right road.

yea it looks like makin room under the hood shouldnt be an issue. and more then likely i am going to run a carb and just put a fuel pressure regulater. so wirin it will be miner. the only problem so far is the motor mounts, so far i havent found anyone that makes them. so far its looking like i am going to have to try and make some my self.

Yeah, I think you're going to have a really hard time finding any motor mounts that will just bolt in. I am sure you will have to make them.

There are v8's in the later grand cherokees, might want to take a look at one of them. Might give you an idea.

I would stick with the inline six. They make plenty of power and they are bullet proof. I had one in a Grand Cherokee and it made good power and torque and it got good fuel economy even with full time 4x4. If I were you I would sell the 302 and buy an extra tranny because they are what gives you problems.
