thats pretty wide for a 7.5, they will work, they will put more stress on the sidewalls. an 8.5 would be a lot better for the tire

305/65/R17 works out to about 33x12. So the 7.5 would be kinda small, as 98ranger4x4 said, an 8.5 would work but a 10 would be better.

25.4mm = 1"
305/25.4 = 12.00
12 x 65% = 7.8
(7.8 x 2) + 17 = 32.6
