Around a year ago i started a build with a 86 bronco II that i got for 250 dollars. It wasn't running and was told that it because it needed a engine rebuild. My friends and I got on it and figured out it was clogged injectors and lose ground, started it and ran pretty good. I decided that i didnt want another stock truck so i put it under the knife, 4in lift d35, 8.8 with the posi clutch mod,new front bumper and rear, trim fenders, dana 35 warn hubs for jeep, steel braided lines, ruff stuff diff cover and 37 goodyear mtr's with mickey thompson fake beadlock wheels. I finished most of it last night, to get driving again just need to shorten the drive shafts and do the break job and aligment we will see how she runs. After she is running my bud is going to rebuild the engine and put a new clutch. Hopefully next semester i have enough to put 5.13 gears and front locker.

stock

under the knife

As it sits right now

updates to be soon:icon_welder:

Ya that is a 78 bronco i got on a killer dear , traded it for a xbox360 :headbang: that is my harder project specially on a student budget. LOL aint afraid of cutting sheet metal i figure its probably gonna get bent or trashed on the trail either ways so ... what the hell.

well took off the heads today and found a bent push rod not too bad but another thing to replace, , also seems like were gonna have to bore out the pistons, their was sufficient enough of play so ya. I was planning on porting the intake manifold to gasket match them and also clean up the ports in the heads, see what results i get with that hopefully a little more hp

i know how broke feels..... it sucks! keeping me from being sas'ed right now. lol. the 2.9 is a good motor. i liked mine------------------------------till i drove it with a 4.0
keep that option open in the future. i'm telling you, you'd love it. i'd love to drive something like that with 5.13's and a 4.0!
