Is there a way to get a ranger transfer case mated to an AOD without spending half a million dollars on an advanced adapters plate? I want to have overdrive but a regular f150 t case wont fit without rubbing on the frame i dont think And my other question is what is usually done with the trans mount when doing a 302 swap and switching trannys? Do they just line up or do they have to be fabbed or switched? Thanks for any input!!

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
the big case will fit, you just have to comprimise a bit and do some trimming.

if you dont comprimise, get out your wallet.

the cases tend to have bosses on them that can be cut off, along with trimming and beefing the frame rail in the needed clearance areas.

make sure you drill large holes that will make the corners of the areas that need to be removed...like 9/16 or so, you dont want right angle cuts in the frame, i try to roll the frame rails when possible for clearance...ling torch and hammer/ pliers/ big crescent wrench to do the rolling usually gets it done and requires no other mods for strength.
