94 Remote Key Fob

I am about to buy a 1994 Ranger from a dealer and it currently does not have remote key fobs. The dealer checked and said that they were not available until 1995. Can someone verify this for me? Thanks.

Only 206K miles so it is just getting broken in.

That probably didn't start until they switched the ECM to OBD2 architecture in 96. That's when electronics started getting fancy in Rangers.

That's cool. I'm glad my 93 doesn't have that.

I just looked in the original owner's manual which feels like it was written on papyrus and there is no mention of remote keyless entry.
