I'm helping a buddy try to fix his truck. He replaced the head with a rebuilt unit he got from a company in Florida and has been having a hard time getting it back operational. The truck will idle fine, but has no power to drive around.
We believe the truck to be aCalifornia truck, because it has an air pump/tube built into the head. Double checked all of the vacuum lines and timing, everything checks out good that way. Plugs look to be burning good, proper color on all 6. Thought it may have been a plugged catalytic converter so he cut a hole at the front of it, but that only helped slightly, if at all.
You guys have any ideas on what it might be, or things to check?
Thanks
