so im pretty sure my bearing or somthing is going out on my A/C pump, when the pump kicks in once in a while i can hear a chirp or slight squeak while the cycle is on and it goes away when its off. is there just a bearing i can replace on the pulley? or do i have to replace the whole clutch??

the bearing only turns when the compressor is off.

are you sure its not the belt chirping from the extra load? or just normal compressor noise?

Mine squealed like hell and I feared the worst, then my fan clutch went out. After I replaced the fan clutch I had my hood open to see if all was well and kicked the A/C on. It was squealing, but I noticed the A/C belt bouncing around. I tightened it, and voila, my noise stopped and the A/C now works fine again.

Check the belt.
