Afternoon!
I promise I've searched. I read the 60/40 1st/2nd gen sticky as well.

That being said I have a bucket seat in my 1994 that's trashed. I haven't had much luck finding anything decent looking at a junkyard for my generation.

Question is, with limited (😂) customization, what other newer generations could be grafted in?

I guess it could be as simple as measuring what I have already and seeing what fits the general size then swap over the mounting brackets.

I'm hoping there's already some sage advice out here for me though.

While on the hunt, is there a hack to adjust the seat back if the lever is gone?

I've got 01 Explorer seats in my 88. (Bolt right in. I'm told anything newer has integrated sliders.)

Since you have removable seat sliders, it should be possible to make most other seats with removable slider work. As long as they are from a similar size vehicle.

When the sliders are off the seat and bolted into the truck, bolt flat steel across them and use as a platform to put whatever ya want in. Might even get lucky and fit directly.

With just a couple holes drilled I had Mazda 626 seats in a 75 Dodge Dart.
