I know shock questions get asked all the time and yes i did use the search feature but found nothing helpfull.

After some recent offroading my rear shock broke off of the bolt(leaving the eye) the bolt is still there, just the shock part of it broke, anyway i welded it back temporarily but it made me realize i needed new shocks. Does anyone have shocks that they put on the rear of their trucks that gave them decent ride quality on and offroad. Im wanting gas charged shocks, are the skyjacker premium shocks worth it or am i better of going with bilstiens?

by decent ride you mean soft/comfortable? or while towing, or under load?

Most of the time my bed is empty so i would like a soft comfortable ride, the only time im loaded up at all is when i go out to the desert with a dirtbike in the bed.

I have Ranchos all around. They are my favorite. If you want the cushiest ride the stock ones are the best. Go to ford and buy them, but I have no idea how much they charge for them.

Bilsteins are the best, but are more expensive....in my opinion, the skyjacker nitros are the best bang for the buck in shocks.

the cheap ranch 5000 ride pretty stiff. The 9000s are adjustable and can make it ride softer or stiffer
