My truck currently has a 94 splash bed on it attached to a 93 regular cab on a 90 frame..

I found a super cheap 98 stepside bed, will this work? New holes were originally drilled in the 94 bed to make it work but mines rusting out the bottom and this new one isn't. I'll just have to drill new holes right?

The only thing I'm thinking might be a problem is the fuel tank/filler.. Any incite?

wont have a problem, you will have to extend the filler neck with a longer hose. make sure you get fuel approved hosing.

But yes, it will work but you will have to drill to get it to ling up to the 90 frame.

Good deal, can I just get an extension hose from Napa or Autozone or something?

Lol okay then..

He just said I can take the tank and filler if I pull them myself. Any idea what tools I'd need for that?

You should not have had to drill holes for anything. The frames are the same between the 90, 94 and 98. I even think the frame dimesions are the same for the new Rangers too. I had a 93 Splash Bed on my 92 that fit without any type of modification. I even used the stock filler hose from the factory bed without cutting it down.

Well 06 admitted he had never done the swap.......I have. There is no drilling required!
True.. Although the guy that originally put the 94 bed on did have to drill holes.

I don't mind the drilling holes bit, it's mostly the filler neck that I'm worried about.
