I just picked up a 91 ranger with a 2.9. I have only had it a week and noticed it has been running a little hot. Today I started looking into it and realized there is no fan shroud. All the yards will probably be closed tomorrow but first thing on tuesday I will be getting a new shroud. What is the best option for mounting this? I could probably use a couple little metal strips to lower the shroud but would that be good enough? Would it be better to try and lower the radiator? I have heard of brackets for doing this coming with the lift but I don't have these and have no idea what they look like. What have you guys done? Any help would be really appreciated.

P.S.
I tried searching but kept getting an error message.

I cut little strips of metal to lower the 3 mounting holes for the shroud by 2". I have not noticed any overheating problems from this.

The closest thing I was able to find today was one out of an explorer. It didn't look like it fit quite right so I didn't want to waste alot of time mounting it. I just did a little trimming where it would interfere with the fan and it seems to be working pretty well. When I find the proper shroud I may mount it lower but this seems to be working better than I expected. It is nice and hot out today too.
