I've got a '92 3.0 XLT with 140,000 miles or so. About 50% of the time when I start it, the oil light comes on and stays lit. The other 50% of the time, it doesn't come on and stays off. The oil gauge is always just below the middle. What is the problem here?:icon_confused:

i have to check mine weekly because when i replaced the oil pan i had to get one without the hole for the sensor because the 6 other pans that i had ordered had passed dormans QC but didnt pass mine. the rear lip was distorted on all of them from the forming/ stamping process so i had to ditch my sensor and replace it with common sense.
