I know my clutch is almost gone in my ranger, butvi was wondering how hard they are to replace? I've been told the slave cylinder is hard to bleed but if I'm just replacing the clutch I shouldn't have to worry about that should I? Its a 03 3.0

Yes, you should replace the slave.
And clutch disc, self-adjusting pressure plate, throwout bearing and pilot bearing
Kit is about $200

You can get regular pressure plate kits for less money, and they will work, BUT....clutch will not disengage unless pedal is all the way down to floor + an inch, lol, this will only last about 1,000 miles as the clutch disc wears a bit, then pedal will disengage clutch at a higher and higher point until the disc is worn out.

Self-adjusting pressure plate keeps disengagement point in the middle of pedal travel for the life of the disc.

It can be hard to bleed, but most are not.
Self adjusting aren't as hard.

It is a good days work to disconnect and lower transmission, R&R clutch parts and then line up and reassemble.

The disc is pretty much hone in my truck, by the time I take my foot off the clutch is when it engages. I got a clutch kit from Napa for 200 bucks but they said the slave and throw out bearing was another 80 bucks. I didnt know if I could get away without replacing them or not.

Because of the labor involved the slave and throwout bearing should be changed, the used slave and/or throwout bearing will probably not last the life of the new clutch disc.

"Stage" 1, 2 and 3 have to do with the clutch disc material and the pressure plate spring strength, you just want stock which would be stage 1
2 requires alot of foot pressure on the pedal
With 3 you need an extra leg to push pedal down, lol.

Avoid "high performance" clutch discs, they grip better but do not last as long, the "grip" is because the material is softer, so wears faster.

It would work.
I don't see a throwout bearing pictured, unless it is part of the slave

It is not a self adjusting pressure plate

From personal experience, REPLACE THE SLAVE WHILE THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT!!!! A OEM clutch will be fine, but make sure you replace everything you can while the transmission is out, youll be glad you did.
