Don't remember what coils you were using but what were they? Do you know the spring rate? I knew how high I wanted it to sit so the diff didn't hit the crossmember and from there figured out what coils I needed.

Finally got to a computer.

They are Jeep XJ coils and are working great from what these pictures say....

Heres what I got done today, sitting on all four tires.

And heres a picture of a before and after using my dads ranger as the example of before.

Next things I need to do is get the track bar mount made, move the axle back a few inches, get the brakes done. I have a bit of bump steering but it will be fine until I order a drop pitman arm to fix it.

Looking good so far. You might want to remove the axle mount on the bottom of the crossmember though.
Now just need bigger tires to fill the gap.

I think I got around 5 inches lift or so in the front. I'll measure my dads truck then mine. My axle fully extended is 23 inches from the top of my shock tower to my bottom shock mount.

As far as tires, they may have to wait till next year. Going to go to a gun show at the indiana state far this saturday to buy my next investment and also going to save up for the upcomming holidays. Plus need to buy new rims first, mine are all bent to hell.

I have to say that this SAS was not difficult at all. Doing your research and what not really pays off, almost a year of doing all that. On average, I worked on this for 4-5 hours a day and got it almost completed in a week by myself. I couldn't be more pleased on how it has turned out so far and it will only get better.

I did get 5 inches of lift from this.

Now I have a problem. I ned to find a trackbar that is 26-27 inches in length. The one I have is 29 inches and sticks outside the frame. This is due to my mount being ontop the axle.

Cant really work on her today due to the weather, hope the rain holds out for a little longer, wanna drive her now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What shocks you going to get?
I did about a year of research also before I started, and I am still figuring things out what I did wrong and what needs adjusted. It will be a never ending project.

That's basiclly what it has now. I hate to have to make my own track bar but I'm running out of good weather time. But that setup is what caused me not to be able to use the factory trackbar and have it hang outside the frame. Fastest way would be to hook it up where it should be, has the bolt hole for it but the bracket was cut off.

I till need to change out the tierod that goes into the pitman arm to the ranger one. Just a bunch of little things now.

You going to cut and paste the draglink like I did? Try saving the steering stabilizer hole if you can. I didn't think of that untill I cut it thinking I wasn't going to need a stabilizer untill I drove it for the first time. But with smaller tires you should be ok without one.

The trackbar hole is there? Just weld some plate steel on there, and reinforce it some and you should be good to go.

Hey, can you post a pic of what your track bar bracket looks like?

My tarck bar is a factory one off an older Cherokee, bolt hole at one end, tierod fitting at the other end.

What I'm going to do is notch the steering stablizer bracket, hangs down enough that I cant get the track bar to go up high enough without making contact with eachother. Yes there will be pics of all of this.

Oh ya forgot to say, got the clear diff. cover monted on, just let the sealant cure overnight before adding oil.

As far as a sway bar, I have one but I'll worry about that when I'm able to drive her, but will have one put on sometime for saftey.

As far as shocks, found skyjacker ones on summit that will fit my rangers shock tower and my axles mountings.
