Been thinking about making my own radius arms even though I don't own a welder. Have an idea running through my head that may work, but I would have to use 1/2" steel pipe. Its a little thinner than I would like and I am worried about it's strength on the trail.

Any input/ideas?

never use "pipe", it is inconsistent in its wall thickness....for any part that could compromise your safety as well as that of others...

plus 1/2" is way too small for the forces that the radius arms go through...

I am sure you could get with Greg and mod some stock radius arms....most get 2" square tubing with a 1/4" wall to use with the stock arms.....

do a search, Plum Crazy has some nice ones he made in his build thread....

K thanks. I was really thinking it would be too small. And I asked Greg before and he didn't seem to thrilled about it lol. He said he didn't want to build his own, which is why he bought some. I may be able to do something with some square tubing. I still have my D28 arms that I plan on using.

Went to the junkyard today and pulled some u-bolt leaf spring plates off a F150 so I can get rid of these Explorer ones with the shock mount on them.

Also seen the truck is still there that I pulled my front axle out of. Lol I almost got that bumper cause its different.

And I think I may end up with a set of Stonecrusher radius arm extensions with the heim joints and brackets. All these 12 hour shifts may end up paying for it.

looks like you can cut it right down the middle long ways and make some sliders out of it almost...
