Explorer front end (body) on a ranger

Been looking around, and I can't seem to find a ranger with the front clip off an explorer.

anyone done it?

The shadow lines don't line up. I can't recall anyone that has tried but you never know.

Looking at pictures, I see what you mean... It almost looks like you'd have to do a complete doghouse swap firewall forward.

Yes & No!

No to the front clip bein used.

Yes to the Explorer nose, as in some have grafted the fender ends onto the Ranger fenders to use the grill, headlights, marker lights, & turn signals, along with the Expo bumper.

Don't recall who though.:icon_twisted:

For a second gen just change the grillle (for a first gen explorer)

Third/fourth gen ranger to second gen Explorer is more complex. If you can find pics Ford did make a prototype in the 96-97 time frame. It was red with an Explorer nose and 5.0 V8, was in several magazines at the time.
