Looks good. Where did you get those shackles?
believe those are the cheapy ones from Autozone/O'Reilly's.....at least that is where I got mine:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

l8r, John
Yep, Autozone Chevy lowering shackles. Thanks Jon.
The springs are from a 1500 4x4 Dodge.
Sick setup dude, I have a 97 ext cab, going for the duff kit in about a month, and im considering many other things, this does look tempting. Great job.
If your getting a Duff kit just go ahead and get their solid axle swap kit.
Cage and all turned out pretty sweet!
Thanks, it's nice not having worry about the bed.
any advatage to running your shocks upside down?
Less unsprung weight and less likely to dent the tubes. But really I just like the look of them upside down.

So like $700-$800 worth? Steel is so expensive. And if you bought DOM like $1000 worth...

Great Post

Thanks for posting all the pics and the follow through. Thoroughly enjoyed reading through the build and definitely gave me some ideas for my own truck.

My credo
I need more sleep.
You should paint the grill and chrome strip on it black.

Your welcome and good luck with yours.

I don't own it anymore but the new owner still wheels it in Western Kentucky southern Indiana area.
