I have a rusty 86 bronco ii with an fm145 and 1350 manual tcase. My 1990 bronco ii is a a4ld, electric 1354 that somehow works, has a rear cv shaft. The fm145 shifts great makes no noise. Both transmissions are supposed to be total junk from what I read. So should I put the fm145 in place of the a4ld? If I do will I have to use a clutch pedal assembly out of a 1990 or will the 86 ones work? The gear ratios in the fm145 seem like they would do better with 31" tires vs the a4ld. The 86 also has a new driveshaft with u joints, so that is a bonus.
