No way, that's on a crease. That metal is stretched. You try popping it out it'll look worse.

Got any security cameras by any chance to see what happened and possibly who did it? It also doesn't really look like a car hit it. Your paint isn't chipped and there's no transfer from another vehicle's paint (sorry I watch too much CSI). It looks more like somebody went at it with a rubber mallet.

Yeah, I checked the cameras at work and talked to the neighbors and I didn't see anything on the cameras nor did the neighbors hear or see anything. I'd have to think a car hit it because there are some scuff marks, but no paint from the offending vehicle. :dunno:

A shoe maybe?

Nah.. wrong pattern. My sisters Escort looked like a crushed beer can from so many people trashing it. Her ex had a lot of enemies.
Although after they broke up he did buy her another car..

For your dent, since theres no paint rub-off I would say it would have been from the plastic bumper of some little car. Its pretty low too, if you find them I bet you could drive right over 'em.;missingteeth;
...might add some more dents to your truck though.

Do you guys think a body shop would be able to pop out the dent and paint it or am I looking at having to replace the entire bedside? Basically I need the most economical fix here. Any body shop techs here?

Thanks,
Matt

That happened a few weeks ago with my diesel, but it was in front of the wheel on the driver side. Pounded it out with a rubber mallet I had in the truck and the guy was parked next to me (a few paint flecks from mine onto his "SUV" with 38" Mudders and not a speck of dirt. Needless to say he has a good sized dent in the corner of his bumper. Its Ok I know that he is an A holesaw him a few days ago just swing his door open and dent another car without evn looking at it.

That sucks man.

I don't think it'll be as hard as you would think to fix. Maybe i'm wrong though.

If you do go hitting on the backside trying to tap it out make sure you have something on the front. DON'T hit it too hard,just light taps.

Well, I'd like to try pounding it out with a rubber mallet, but I don't know if I should. I'm not sure if it would look worse if I did.
