I am looking to replace my front springs in a short while as they are sagging and screwing up my alignment and eating tires.

Last year I put the cheap washer spacers under my springs for some lift. this wasn't to gain actual lift but to attempt to bring the springs somewhere near original ride height.

It worked for about 6 months. Now they are sagging again.

This time I plan on replacement with something new.

Currently the front springs ride like rocks honestly. Every crack and minor pothole feels like I don't actually have springs. Shocks where replaced 1 year ago. I actually think they are done already as you can get a extra 1/4 bounce out of the front end.

If I buy original springs can I expect a similar ride or are there better springs that will help with this?

I don't think original springs "ride like rocks" so it's likely due to yours being sagged out (probably allowing the axle to hit the bumpstops prematurely any time you hit a bump or a dip in the road).

I would get some OE replacement springs and if it still rides too rough, maybe a good set of shocks for it as well.

Ok well. I went to the stealership to get a baseline price today and according to them they no longer carry springs for a 1992 4.0 4x4 xlt supercab ranger.

So. if I am going to be dealing with aftermarket stores and the various ways crap gets sold through them.

Could anyone direct me to a specific brand that wont be made out of crappy Chinese steel?
