that engine in its first iteration was 8 liters plus....Mullaly shelved it with a bunch of other stuff when he came in to right the ford ship.
when they dusted it off and started playing with it again....max efficiency was the lead factor.....not kicking the gen 6 GM big blocks ass.....as it was long gone at that point...
it is basically a LS ripoff on steroids..... they really dropped the ball on the oil system though. i dont like the cylinder spacing either with the slits....but it actually works in all out applications...
the reason it is a 7.3.....is because that is the max efficiency window....all things considered.
i am waiting on some other details...then i will update.
