Hello everyone. I picked up my 1998 XLT 3.0 4x4 5 speed in August of 2020 as a daily driver for $2800.00 . It is a fun truck. I bought it with Crown Vic steelies. I bought a set of Ranger wheels with tires shortly after. Huge improvement in looks and handling. Soon afterwards I swapped out the original seats. I installed a set of 2014 Ford Focus bucket seats with a 2016 Ford Explorer rear seat console. In March of 2023 the 3.0 locked up with 192000 miles on the way home from work. I had another 3.0 installed with 98000 miles. I still love this old truck. I get compliments all the time and have turned plenty of offers for it. I also own a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0 4x4 Automatic with 168000 miles. I look forward to using this site for troubleshooting and fresh ideas.
