Hello from Lancaster, PA. I’ve been watching off and on for some time. I’m restoring a lowered 1983 Ranger with many custom changes. This was my brother’s truck and was built by him and my Dad in the 90’s then again by me in 2009 for my brother who was sick at the time. The picture shows the truck a month or so prior to us selling it in 2010 when he was no longer able to drive. In spring 2014, after much regret and his passing in 2012, I searched for it. After posting a wanted ad on craigslist, someone tipped me off it was for sale in Delaware. I bought it the next day; sadly it was not in the same shape. That alone was an amazing story.
The bodywork is now almost ready for paint. Pictured is the 347 stroker backed by a TKO600 I’m test fitting. I’m buying parts to do the 95-97 disc upgrade and looking into a front coilover setup backed by a 4-link coilover rear suspension.
Custom features include being lowered, no door handles, the area behind the cab seats, bed, and cap are cut out and use a accordion bladder so you can place speakers in the bed, V8, & flush tailgate.
I’m a early Mustang guy myself, but this Ranger has special meaning to me and will show when I’m done.
