Hi from sunny Florida! I purchased my 2009 Ranger with 148,000mi on it from the State. I've had it 6 years and it now has 238,450mi. I'm going to try to take her to a million!

Welcome, that is a lofty goal. Not saying it is impossible, but it will take some time and lots of maintenance.

Welcome to TRS :)

You should always start your own thread

Sell/return the 3.0l Transmission and get the right one

2000 4.0l uses a 5R55E
3.0l uses 4R44E or 5R44E, so different transmission as well as different bell housing
2000 4.0l can use a 5R55E trans from a 1998 thru 2011 2WD model
4WD models are different, must use a 4WD transmission can't convert them

The 2001-2011 4.0l 5R55E will have 2 extra sensors on the outside of transmission, 2000 4.0l computer doesn't need them so you CAN still use those years in your 2000, the extra sensors are just not hooked up

This is a good site for used parts in your area: https://www.car-part.com/

Hey Anla'Shok :) Welcome to TRS.
Good vehicle to do it in :D
I spent a couple weekends in St Pete back in 75. It was kinda quiet there then. Had the ship Bounty moored there was about all I saw. Played pool in a couple places Minnesota Fats played at.
Yep, it was kinda quiet :)

If you can remeber, HOW did you buy it from the State. I work for the 'State of Florida" and can't ever seem to be able to catch them at my local auction. I've heard that a lot of the state vehicles go to Tampa for auction. Where and how did you get your truck?
