Hey guys I've used this site a few times but thought its time to sign up as I've ran into major problems with my ranger (which is well expected given the abuse I've delivered it) I guess blistering 305 hp out of a 3.0 was a lil much lol anyway I'm about a shade tree mechanic kinda in my blood but all this new stuff is over my head but I do what I can looking forward to outside advice

I'd love to hear how you got 305 h.p. out of a 3.0.

Me too. Would turbo and WAY too much NOS even get you close to that?

Started off with elec fans cold air true duals then added about 150 shot to it and programmer 305 was the best of 5 passes on a dyno with 330 ft lbs so it is achievable but don't full yourself it came at a big price fried piston rings blew head gaskets blew intake apart an broke crankshaft so I wouldn't advise doing it but starting a build for a 302 or well 306 after it's bored out so yea it's possible just not for more than a year or so

What were you hitting without the NOS? Stock HP rating for a 3.0 is about 150ish, but I have pondered programmers.

Stock was 160 then we added cooler thermostat duals fans cold air oh an we polished the intake manifold an slapped it with a programmer that put us at 198hp then ran a 50 shot for a week a 75 for a week then 150 shot and the mighty lil ranger became a mustang killer lol

What programmer did you use? I'm planning on some upper end work down the road since I gotta fix the two broken studs on my exhaust manifolds someday...lol

150 shot on stock internals was asking for a motor swap. Scribed for the 5.0 build...
