:icon_confused:okay so i let my wife drive my truck to work today. she gets home and my check engine lights on. so i go to the local auto parts store and hook up the code reader. and it doesnt work... thinking that maybe thiers may be broken, i go to another parts store, and that one didnt work... it wont even power on. so i call Ford up and ask them whats going on with it. they tell me to bring it in and its going to cast me $100 just to look at it. im not paying that much unless its a last resort. does anybody know why its not reading codes or even pwering the reader up? is there a fuse that may be blown? im boggled, and i figured the ranger station is the best place to start.:icon_confused:

There should be a few fuses that are related. Dig out the owners manual and check.

My code scanner uses batteries to power up, are you missing batteries?? Other than that, yeah check fuses, connection for corrosion, broken wire, pushed contact etc...
