I've been doing some digging around this forum for a good bit now, and finally decided it was time to introduce myself if I were going to try to pick the knowledgeable minds of the good folks here at TRS.
First off, I love the info and friendly forums you've got here, and I hope that I can eventually prove to be as helpful to others as so far the forums have been to me. I'm new to TRS here, but not to the gear-head passion, but I used to be a GM guy in a former life, so please forgive me if I get things mixed up from time to time.
That's enough about me though, I'd rather talk about the reason why we're all here, and the one thing we all have in common: My Ford Ranger. I just picked mine up about a week ago (that's why my profile pic looks like it's in an ad - it's because that's the only pic I have at the moment), and I have to say I'm quite pleased with my purchase. The Duratec 2.3 gets great mileage, and the Dark Green Satin Metallic paint is one of my favorite colors.
In the future I plan on making it a little more rugged by firstly ditching the awful Mustang wheels in favor of stock steelies, and beefing up the 4-banger to produce numbers that can keep up with traffic, but for now I'm quite content to have things the way they are. This '04 XLT of mine I call the Turdle; I thought it was appropriate since it's green, it's a bit slow, and it's got a shell, but all said & done it's mine, and I'm not only glad to have it, but greatfull it's brought me here. Kk
