My truck idles a little rough, and when I stomp on the go pedal the engine sort of bucks.... I can hear it sucking air from the backside of the motor, I think its the intake, are these all symptoms of a bad intake gasket?

I had that once, and found a rubber cap blew off the PCV valve. I replaced it with a fresh pliant one, and put a tiny hose clamp over it. I guess it happened when it "sneezed" while starting. Haven't had gasket leaks in 130K miles.

checked the PCV and its fine, I even had a new one sitting around and threw it on there, I am fairly confident that it is the intake gasket I just wanted to know if those were the common symptoms.

The sucking sound really has to be some kind of vacuum leak, though you should be sure it's not a vacuum line or something nearby before you go after the intake gasket (it SURE is a possibility, though). There are a number of vacuum lines and accessories near there. You can try to isolate with a long flexible tube in your ear.

Bucking is pretty generic, and it might be due to certain kinds of vacuum leaks (especially if leading to a miss). But there are a number of other things it might be.

yeah, I checked and replaced every vacuum line that I could. I am also using about a quart of oil every 2500-3000 miles with no oils leaks.... I am pretty sure that it is the intake, i just need the time off to fix it now.
