Did a head gasket on my 2.9 around 500 miles ago. Its running pretty good. I have a miss at around 1000 rpm. I pulled it down to re-torque everything and adjust the valves again. Number five spark plug is a darker color than the other plugs. I got to the adjustment for the cylinder in question and the intake lifter was sloppy. At first I thought it was collapsed. I removed the snap ring and pulled the lifter apart. Nothing was broken. The spring seemed to be a little compressed so I put another spring from another lifter in it. I think the lifter is ok but has no oil in it. How do I adjust it?
