So as it stands right now, i'm buying a 3'' body lift, 4'' superlift kit w/ driveshaft, a new set of rims and a new set of tires :headbang:. But seeings how i'm picky and still currently shopping around and before I get ahead of myself I just want to clarify a few things before I dump about 6000 dollars into this ****in thing haha. I know my 96's stock rims were 15x7 with 4.5'' backspacing. I'm currently having a bitch of a time trying to track down 16x8 rims with anything less than 4.5'' (because i'm assuming maybe after ford went to IFS the rim backspacing didn't change?). So you say, get a 15'' rim. Sure, but now I have the 2010 with rear discs. Question, Will 15x8'' rims clear the rotors? :icon_rofl: I'm just so paranoid of having my 33x12.50's rubbing at full lock like they did in my 96. As for tires I'm really undecided, i'm quite sour that I can't buy a new set of BFG MT KM1's anywhere...So i'm thinkin goodyear duratracs, most likely 33, however with the lifts installed i should be pretty close to fitting 35s no?

SO with all that said, WHAT is the factory backspacing of a 98-10 IFS suspension, will 15'' rims clear the rotors IF i can't find 16s, and CAN I FIT 35s!! lol I R WELDER!:icon_welder:

I can't wait..

I would guess that you would have to trim fenders to fit 35's but I am not sure, and I think that 15x8's should fit fine, but you can just measure the discs diameter and measure the inside of a 15in wheel

Back spacing is 3.75" and a 15x8 will fit. I ran 15x10's because I wanted wide wheels to bulge out the 12.5's more. 35's will require trimming but 33's will be more then adequate. The 33's won't rub but the 35's likely will.

Before you do anything, swap your rear end to an 06-09 and go back to drums. Otherwise you're just wasting your time.

If I where you, I'd wait for someone else that's double lifted to chime in. Otherwise track down TrePaul or FX4wannabe01. They should be able to fill you in.

The 33s will look a little small.

I call dibs on your stock rims if they are 16's. I will pay for the shipping. I have been looking for a set for a while now.

They are indeed 16s

I am wasting my time to begin with because the '10's come with an open 8.8, but If i can luck in a find an fx4 that was rolled i'll swap it out, as it stands however i'm not gonna switch my diff right off the bat heh. Especially when all I need to do is put a brake assembly on my current axle heh

I too was thinking the same 33's even looked smalled on my 96 (see for yourself): sure they would hit the bumper, but i could've fixed that with my makita 5''.

I dunno, 15'' rims will have better selection anyways because 16's are ****ing hard to find with the correct backspacing and tire selection seems like shit too.

Blackin it out, looking at a few types of rims and I've gotten it narrowed down to these two (15s):

I may still go with centreline rims however I am leaning more towards black and not aluminum...CHROME WON'T GET YA HOME! :D

Cool. Let me know when you get the new wheels so we can arrange shipping of your old ones. I have plans for them already.
