i have four memphis audio pr10d4's and two memphis pr1.500 amps...rightnow only have half that in my truck...got the box design from diamond audio's website.
anyways im tryin to put all four in, and shops want 250-350 for a custom box..thats insane, i have all the materials and tools to do it myself, just not the experience of a shop..so any of you guys/girls out there who know the correct way to build a box according to manufacturer specs, please send some help out my way..
i just need the box to fit behind the seats in my ext cab and below the rear window
thanks in advance

heres the specs of memphis's site:
this is two subs per chamber;
2.50 / 35 / 10.5 x 2 x 19.5
airspace/tuning/port dimensions- height,width,depth

Do you want 3/4 mdf or 5/16"? Do you want a square port or a round port? Whats the top mounting depth of the subs?

go to your truck and measure the max height, width and depth that your willing to lose.

and is that 2.5cf tuned to 35hz per sub or for all four? or is that 2.5cf per chamber, so 5cf total for all 4 subs?

probably going to be 2.5 per chamber... giving 1.25 cf of ported air space per sub in theory.

lol..yah im guessin its goin to pretty big too...definetly 3/4, i dont believe 5/16 would hold the weight of all 4 subs and take the beating they will put out..

yes, 2.5cuft for 2 subs at 35hz...

i will have about 50inches when i pull out the jump seats, and just enough room the squeeze both the amps and caps on each side of the enclosure..now i have to find a spot for my 4 channel to go.

thats going to be a tight fit. its going to be atleast 40 inches wide. what is the overall diameter of those subs? i doubt theyre exactly 10". probably more like 11" or 11.5". so 11.5*4=46 then add 1" spacing in between each woofer and thats your whole 50". like i said get us some accurate measurements

generally, a 10" sub is 10" OD, and needs a mounting hole somewhere around 9-1/8" to 9-1/4"

yeah, i was mistaken. some manufacturers do have oversized outer diameters. so dont always count on buying a 10" subs and the OD being 10". my 8" has a OD of 8.3".

its still going to be tight though.

4x10" subs = 40"
add 1" spacing in between each one = 44"
2" wide slot port for each chamber = 48"

then you take into account material thickness, you should be pretty close to that 50". should work though. good luck with the build

I just bought an old box for a ten, and jig sawed it to stuff my 12 in there. then my passengers had to ride around with their knees in their chest. It was a single cab!!!
and I had a tweater box stuck behind my seat and an amp under the passenger seat. I had another sub that just rolled around on the floor... it was a flame looking 8in.
the whole set-up cost me a case of beer my Jr. Year in HS.
But I don't guess everybody would want that setup......
