Here's some pics of my 1966 Mustang that I've been restoring. It needs floor supports, drivers side front frame rail, quarter panels, wheel houses and hopefully fuel injection. I have the passenger side floor pan welded in, and I about have frame rail in.

I got the engine to run before I took it out. It is a 289 with C4 transmission, which is what the vin number says it's supposed to have in it.

Looks like fun. Luckily good Mustang replacement stuff is easy to find. Right now I'm restoring my cousin's '66 Plymouth Belvedere II and quality replacement panels are not made for it. The ones he did get are disgusting, I'm definitely going to be putting my fab skills to the test getting them to work. He has another car too, which luckily is a '67 Mustang, but all it needs is one floorboard, the rest of the car is mint!!

Anybody know where to get a lower control arm mount that welds onto the frame rail?

Could you imagine one of those Shelby GT 500 engines in that car, that would be a sleeper car. I know somebody with one of those cars, told they are fast.

I have been thinking about fuel injecting a 289, or swapping in a 351W fuel injected with a T5. I am not set on anything yet. Whatever I put in there I would rather have it fuel injected and made within the past 20 years.

Nice project. I've owned two '67's. They wern't bad for what I had to work with, and I even won a trophy or two, but I didn't have the garage space to deal with the rust, so I moved up to fox bodies. We now have a pair of '79's, which is where my "Firstfox" name came from. A hatch, and my coupe that's geting a 500 horse 408W.

I got the drivers side floor pan welded into today. Hopefully I will get the lower control arm mount made this week the wheel back on so I can sweep the rust off floor again. I'll try to get some more pics up.
