- My credo
- Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
(The day it came home)
4x4, STX, e-locker, tow package. Paid 32k for it on presidents day of '21, price including a 2.5" rough country leveling kit and re-alignment.
(Post leveling kit & 255/75/17s)
I had some 255/75/17 kenda klever mt's put on when the dealer installed my leveling kit. I liked the tire, especially for the price. NO good in snow however.
I drove the truck just like that for 26k miles or so happy as a clam before I did anything else..
A while back I found a deal on some +18 offset method wheels wrapped in 8k mile 275/65/18 general grabbers, new black lugs included for 450$ too good to pass up. Between the width and offset the tires rub on the crash bars a little while reversing at full lock, definitely need aftermarket bars for any real off road action.
Then I installed an AFE muffler delete. I didn't want anything too loud.. this is perfect IMO. With the radio at a reasonable volume you really can't hear anything from the exhaust at cruising speed.
Finally I slapped on a set of hazard fart aluminum bed racks (cut the legs down 4") so I could haul around a canoe. I'll likely modify them so they can hold some fuel cans or a hi-lift at some point.
