Guess I'll start with my Ranger history. All have been DD's and not heavily modded.
1992 2wd 3.0L 5 spd reg cab. LB. Bought this while in the Navy. My first Ranger.
1988 X-cab STX 2.9L 3" lift running 33's if I remember. Sold it at 180k in 2000. Last I knew it was still being used (2007).
1994 2wd 4.0L. Had 3.08 gears, put a trac-loc from a Stang and pulled everything with that. Hauled my race car to the track, hauled numerous vehicles including a 1967 Olds 442 (300 miles). Sold it at 198k because it was getting some rust & I wanted a F150.
Sold the F150 and thru some trading ended up with a B3000 (2k) 5spd. It was an OK truck, came from Florida. Only had that for a few months.
3 days ago, I bought my current 1989 reg cab 4wd 2.9L Auto. Has been "restored". Mostly new sheetmetal. 204k on the clock. Gave $1400. Has a few little issues, but I'll slowly figure them out.
I am ASE certified parts specialist, but try to only wrench in my spare time.
When I am once again employed I plan on tackeling the restoration of my 1966 F250 "Ernie"
