hey guys i cant find which part of the forum this would go in so im going to put it in here. mods if you could move it to a better place that would be great and highly appreciated.

my dads got his 95 ranger xlt, ext cab, 4.0, 5 speed, 4x4 that needs a new frame. we need to find out what frames fit it so we can get a new one. hes wanting to switch everything over to that frame. what years interchange? what exactly do i need to look for?

thanks

Really not much has changed on the frame over the years, even till the present rangers. Just the front bit is different for the IFS suspension.

Ahhh... No....

there are incremental differences that taken individually are trivial, but in total ammount to some major issues....

For example the 83-88's route the front crossover brake line differently (across the INSIDE of the engine crossmember, while 89-up route across the front of the crossmember.

Also in 1989 they changed the fuel tank straps and one of the crossmembers.

AND there are other less than subtle changes, the way the bumper mounts
Changed in 1989, 1993, 1995....

Frankly I'd say you could make a 1994-94 frame work, the 1995-97 frames seem more prone to perforating rust.
