Check your gas tank you might have water in it.

I have a similair problem. Tell me if this sounds right...

first start, it runs alright. Drive for a minute or two, or even a few minutes sometimes. Not hot, normal or cold, but sputters, and acts like its about to stall, bogs, has no power, wont idle right...
Ive tried gas line anitfreeze, which fixed part of the problem.
however, if I let it idle, it sputters and surges up and down, then rev's up and settles down to normal, but doesn't stay there. very odd!
I've been told this may be a fuel pump or "IEC???" i think thats what it was called....

My credo
Failing is easy. Everyone can do it.

Most likely a sensor related issue. Part of the issue is when you re-start the truck runs fine...but after a short while it craps out. During a restart or a cold start the truck will go into "open loop" operation for a preset amount of time, running off computer presets for "fair" operation. When the truck is up to temp (after a preset time, plus for cold starts the computer also restricts the truck using the coolant sensor--not warmed up according to the coolant sensor? It stays in open loop until it gets the right temp)

This could get quite annoying. Could be anything from a crapped out TFI...O2...MAP... I'd start with pulling any/all codes the onboard computer has recorded. If an error is considered to be 'minor'? It can set a code, but not flag the computer into sending up the check engine light. Also the computer has some basic "self test" items that should be checked. (it's very basic, however it can point you in the right direction)
