My name is Steven and I just bought a 2000 Ford Ranger to drive and be a commuter while completing the build on my GMC Yukon. I grew up on mini trucks but they were Chevy and GMC. So I will have some silly questions I am sure but I am technically minded and a fast learner. I hope to get plenty of good help and answers

i previously had a 98 sonoma (single cab, stepside, 2.2, and 5 speed) with the zq8 package. that was a heck of a fun truck and easy to work on.

Thats funny... my brothers 97 ranger caught fire because my nephew was playing with fire crackers..... but he ended up buying a 97 S10 for $300... put maybe $800-$1000 into it and its been his daily for a few years now and it runs better than my ranger and has almost 3 times the miles hahaha BUT.... In my opinion my truck is the shit and no ones is better hahahaha

Last week i had a guy ask me if i would be willing to sell it... i told him that i dont consider selling it for a penny under 10K.. hahaha he walked away pretty promptly

I've had every combination of S10, Silverado and Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban possible. This is my first Ford since my first car a 1985 ex Alabama Highway Patrol Crown Victoria with a 351W. I bought this Ranger to drive while I finish building my Yukon which I am making a fullsize Trailblazer SS version since I sold my 416ci LS3 swapped 2wd 11.6 in the 1/4 full weight Trailblazer SS.

Nice bud!!!

I just got my wife a 2005 tahoe.. i plan on LS swapping in the future along with a super charger!

Long before i got my ranger i was an import guy.. i have owned a few different fun things such as a built 2002 STI.. a 2001 IS300 with a T6 turbo.. 3 different boosted hondas ... and my favorite was an SVT focus with all wheel drive...

I have since got rid of 90% of my car collection (wife told me to) and now all i have is the ranger, the tahoe, and an old escort im going to turn into a sleeper lol

Yeah the 4.8 is the same LS platform. I put a LQ9 which is a 317 headed iron block 6.0 with flat top pistons. It makes 345hp stock and with just a few upgrades easily 450-500whp. I've had almost every kind of LS combination possible. Turbocharged, Procharged, HCI, forged high compression, and high compression on nitrous. I really do like them a lot. I am curious about a tuebo Barra 4.0 and Frontier CD009 in the Ranger. If that doesn't pan out then I might go head, cam, intake, turbocharged aluminum 5.3 with forged rods and pistons and a CD009 6 speed.

We will DEF be chatting more about this when i get closer to it hahaha
Right now my main focus is making sure my 94 range is in top notch running condition and getting it ready for the summer and spring. :)

Feel free I have built the GMT800 platform SUV in almost every imaginable configuration. I am pulling the interior of mine to redo it, sound deaden it, install mids and highs with 2 3k 4 channel amps and 2 15s in around an 8 cube box with a 6500 watt amp on each sub.

I am going to dye the light grey to dark charcoal, black carpet, a dark charcoal Alcantara headliner, and the seats done in dark charcoal leather and perforated Alcantara. It's white and I am going to paint it charcoal on the top, white on the bottom, with a blue 2" stripe with a teal 1/4" fine line and 1/4" fine line purple stripe. Teal blue and purple stitch on the seats
