Hey guys, I was reading the tech page and saw that the later years 3.0L engine's put out a tad more power. I'm just wondering if people have used the plastic intake manifold on an older style Ranger?
What are the difference that create more power in the later versions?

there are a few small differences in the combustion chambers and engine management that make the later years put out more power...but the biggest difference is the composite plenum. swapping it is supposedly good for 5HP (so ive heard).

its possible to bolt it to an older year 3.0...i believe one simply needs to drill the bolt holes out in order for it to bolt to your lower intake manifold (dont remember from what size to what...6 to 8mm or something along those lines).
