I have a 93 Ranger, with a 4.0. The list of modifications goes on and on, so I will save you the time of having to read all that. I'm looking for someone to tune the truck for me and get me past the rev limiter. Years ago, Delk Performance couldn't do so, but said the truck was still making power at 5200, so I need to get past it. I had spoken with James Henson in the past, but can't get ahold of him now. Do you guys have any suggestions as to who can tune my truck and bypass the rev limiter? Thanks in advance.

I am in middle Tennessee. Haha. I don't want that kind of road trip in my future, so hopefully someone closer can help me out. If not, we will be west bound and down.

Call local speed shops or shops that have dynamometers(dynos), they will have local names and recommendations

Tuning is popular with racing crowds :)

The problem with local shops, I don't truly trust them. I would like to find someone that the Ranger community trust.

What about James Henson? Is he still tuning these trucks? I have his number and it's not disconnected, but says it's not accepting calls at this time. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been wondering if these trucks can use the same EEC tuning methods used on mustangs, like Moates, Tweecer, and Anderson PMS. I've been contemplating building a patch harness to make megasquirt plug in to the ranger ECU plug on our 93 4.0 but it'd be easier to start with the stock ecu and adjust the tune rather than building a new one in megasquirt.

James Duff Enterprses INC is in Tennessee, they were working with this when they were in Washington. If they do not perform this service they know who will.

I a very certain your DIS 93, 4.0L is OBD2. The I do not know of a DIS that is OBD1...doesn't change how difficult a time you are experiencing, replacing that banjo though .(I

93 would still be odb1, so would 94.
Think odb2 started in 95.
