and now my airbag light comes on my dash and stays on..im not sure what happend as it was working perfectly fine before i unplugged it. i treid turning the key to the on and off position on the airbag but nothing happens..

If you turned on the power at any time when the keyswitch module was unplugged, an airbag fault code was set. This will disable the airbag system entirely until the fault is reset (usually at the dealer, for a fee).

i honsetly dont recall ever putting the key in the ignition untill it was all said and done, i just unplugged it, tucked it in behind the dash and replugged it in.
