not out to win any beauty contest

this my tow rig/daily driver. it's a 1973 F250 4x4, same truck as my sig, it's old, ugly and tough as an old bull in a s^^t kickin' contest. so far [knock on wood and all that crap] it ain't let me down. haven't hooked up to anything yet that i haven't been able to move with a little finesse [low gears and LOTS of throttle] everything is stock [except the flatbed and front bumper]

The question was how can you afford to daily drive it. I drive 1,000 miles a month. If I had a 14mpg vehicle (which that isn't in town) I would pay $3,000/year in gas. I stopped daily driving my full-size and got the 39mpg Honda which would save me $1,900/year over a 14mpg truck--and probably well over $2,000 year if I drove yours. I drive my full-size about once a week now--and on trips when I have to haul shit across the country. The little car will have paid for itself by about New Years.

I replaced this:

With this:

The first was a 1989 Ford F-250 7.3L Diesel (non-turbo) with a C6 transmission.

The second is a 2007 Ford F-150 5.4L with an automatic and tow package.

I love the F-150. It's very strong and tows great.

damn man i woulda kept the ol f-2 over that f-150 anyday...that this was beautiful even though its IDI :pray::pray:

Yo,
Here is my rig, 08' F-250, 4x4, 5.4l, can tow up to 9,000 lbs. The company actually owns it, but it is mine to drive to and from work and wherever else I need.
