The things you can do with tube are amazing... That sounded pretty bad but you know what I mean. LMAO! I built a lot of plate bumpers before I got my bender. Now all I want to do is build tube bumpers cause they are way lighter and faster to build. Plus they look awesome! Going to be real close to being done this weekend. Truck runs now just need to a get transmission so I can go faster then 1st gear will take me. LOL

Started a little early this morning on the sliders. Going to exchange my welding gas so trying to use as much up as I could before I headed out to the junk yard for a transmission then welding supply house. Tank isn't empty yet but close just know if I wait until it is empty it will run out later today and supply house is closed after 1pm today until Tues. Figured better safe then sorry. :D

Did you honk at me? I was on the way to get my welding gas and wire. I picked up a trans for the Ranger right before you saw me. And yes the flatbed is pretty sweet. Getting a lot of compliments on it. :D

I drove the truck down the street today. Only have 1st gear so didn't go too fast. But the truck drives pretty good. Pulled it into the garage and got the old slush box out. Ready for the one I picked up today. Just hoping the one I got works.

Truck sits about the same height as the Merc. When I pulled the truck into the garage I checked to see how level it was. The back is 1/2" higher then the front. So pretty happy with that.

Yeah hopefully, always a gamble... might be a little late but U pull and pay has a 25% off Fri-Mon at their Denver and Aurora yards, the coupon is on their website. I am going to grab an extra set of 8.8 shafts and everything I need to convert mine to disc.

That sucks that is where I got the tranny too. Oh well. Just hope it works so I don't have to go pull another one.

Yep I have bought 4 sets so far. There is a set on my wife's TJ also. They have good road manners, super tough, and they are amazing on the trail. Wheeled with a couple BFG guys and they get annoyed when the Merc out wheels them. They think it is only cause of the truck and not the tires. But I know the tires have a lot to do with it. :D
