long story short, i know a guy that has a complete FW 44/9 combo.

his friend wants everything from knuckles out for his drum brake 44

i have a fw solid 44 with no shafts, and outer shafts from a TTB 44

ultimate goal is to piece together a "disk brake conversion" for his friend, so i can get the complete axles.

possible? couldn't find a positive answer in my searches

Yes they are the same. The bearing hub amd lock out are the same also. However the spindle and caliper from a TTB to solid are different.

sweet, thanks!

those "disc brake kits" for older 44's are like $500-800. I can piece together my own "kit" for this guy, sell it for about $200, and use the money toward the axles.

The "disc brake kits" for a drum brake EB d44 include:

chevy/jeep d44 spindles
chevy/jeep d44 caliper mounts
chevy/jeep d44 calipers
ford TTB/solid d44 bearing hubs/bearings

The kit can be made using junk yard parts for cheap.

They use a chavy/jeep spindle because it is a 6 bolt flange and matches the drum brake EB knuckles. The spindles from the solid D44 can be using if the entire knuckle is changed also. However is he did this, his TRE will have a different pitch and he will have to make/buy a tierod.
