I pulled into my parking spot at 12:50, went inside, got some food to eat, sat down on the couch and caught the last 10 minutes of SNL. Not long after, I heard one huge crunch from outside my house. I hightailed it straight to the window only to see my truck parked sideways on my lawn and my parents' car in front with an open trunk.
I was tempted to go outside shoeless but reconsidered because there was snow on the ground. There were already police cars outside. I went around to the other side of my truck and saw the back left side munched in and a VW Golf with a destroyed front end.
Apparently the guy was hammered and he refused to leave his Golf. The police yanked him out through the broken window and he continued to resist arrest. Probably took them a good 10 minutes to get him into the car.
One of the officers told me that he ran a couple stop signs and that a cruiser had just started pursuit when the guy slammed on his brakes, angled in to the left corner of my truck and bounced backwards.
Pics to come.
Let's give a moment's silence for my ex-beast
