Bought this beast today for a tow/chase truck. I have other rims and tires I need to put on it still. I am going to build a chase rack for it soon.

Yeah it's a lot nicer than my other F-150. Its an 02 5.4 with 4WD.

Not to get this thread off-track, but I did a few things to the tow/chase rig and should be adding some tube work here soon.

Took off old man bug guard, changed tires/rims, and re-did the exhaust. Should have the ranger behind it to see how it tows this weekend.

All loaded up to head to Lucerne in the morning for the California 200 memorial. Not the same kind of excitement as years past but it should still be fun. Running the full 50 mile lap sat night with everyone, hope the truck stays together.

Well I would hope it would have made it.

I'm curious, I'm considering buying a 2003 Supercrew with the 5.4/auto. Looked at it yesterday, looks great but I almost want to wait and get a F250 instead to haul my stuff around. Especially because when my dad's '79 F250 breaks down out on the road I'd be the one to go get it, and the ONLY time it breaks down is when he overloads it with bluestone.

The Super Crew tows great but we used a friends Mega cab Cummins to get it to the desert instead. Trip went great, was wierd being back at the scene of the crash but I think I needed it. Ran the truck about 150 miles in the dirt with no issues. Handled soo much better with the new set up and the power of the 4.0 was nice.

i saw you and your buddy's mega cab out there, but didn't stop by. i was too busy pulling my buddy's expo front clip off to fix his headlights for him lol
