My boss knows where a ranger diesel is sitting. It was parked in a field 15+ years ago with no hood and no air cleaner. Today he asked me what I knew about them. I showed him the specs in the tech library, and a few threads I found in a search.
Its a non-turbo perkins 2.2 in a 2wd ranger. wrecked in the front (i have the parts to fix that). He told me that most perkins diesels have sleeved cylinders, and was wondering if the ranger diesel was the same. He has changed sleeves on old tractors in a field with dry ice more than once, so this would not be hard work for him.
So does this motor have a removable sleeve?
