Newb here-
I don't currently have a truck. Had an 88 F-250 4x4 a few years ago but sold it. I considering getting a well used small truck as I find them very practical.
All the reading I've done suggests that the Tacoma is probably the most solid small truck around. However, I've also heard good things about the Ranger.
The Fords are certainly a bit less $.
So, I have a couple of questions-
1-What's your experience with Ranger's as far as longevity and reliability.
2-I'd like a 4WD model with a 5 speed. What is the preferred engine for lasting a lot of miles (with proper care of course).
3-What kind of fuel economy can I expect with a 4WD Ranger.
4-Are there preferred model years?
Thanks!
Jerry
