The time has come to lock up the rear of the Ranger (Rear Dana 60 on 37's) and I'm trying to think of a good reason as to why I shouldn't just throw a lunchbox back there. It would be a powertrax unit as they're the only ones that make a 32 spline locker for the 60 (I've got the goofy spline count back there, and I'm not really wanting to drop the $300 on new 35 spline shafts at this point).
I'm tempted to just weld the dude up, but I don't want to kill tires too fast with all the street driving I do. I had a spool in the rear of my old XJ and it was a bit of a love/hate relationship. I'm not sure I want to go down that road again...
This rig get driven to and from the trails (when I don't break it on the trail that is ). So it sees a fair share of road time. I tend to play on the 'rocky' stuff whenever I can.
Any insight, as the search didn't really turn up anything here.
